A relational-discovery retreat to nourish burnout and rekindle a deeper connection with yourself and others  

This City Weekend Retreat Includes:

  • 15 hours of the Power Of Us process, including expert support to safely explore life’s challenges, fun mind-body connection exercises, transformative group and partner activities

  • 3 hours at the Havn Saunas, a floating park like environment on the edge of Victoria’s inner harbour. Lush green spaces, cold pools, hot tubs and hand built saunas bring us together for a vibrant self-care experience

  • 4 week email graduate aftercare program

  • opportunity to book additional one on one sessions with
    the facilitator (not included in the program fee)

This retreat is for therapists, coaches, healthcare providers, mothers and the I-want-to-overcome-something-within people.
You’ll know this 3 days retreat is for you if you’re dancing on the edge of burnout, feeling uninspired or stuck in life or work.

This is the outlined schedule to help you plan your travel. A detailed schedule will be emailed to registered participants closer to the date.

  • Friday
    5:45 PM - 8:00 PM

    - Welcome circle, warm up to the weekend and meet fellow participants

  • Saturday
    9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

    - A day of deep exploration, inquiry, and engagement with self and others through movement and talking practices, we take time to reflect, integrate, and share personal experiences throughout the day

    - Includes a 1-hour lunch break and several snack breaks

    Sunday

    9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    - Serene morning session at Havn Sauna: 3 hours of soaking and nourishment
    12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

    - Lunch break

    1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

    - Final session: Deepen connection with your true essence through somatic practices and closing circle

The Power of Us is a relational-discovery retreat that teaches you how to revive your aliveness and connection with yourself and others in a supportive, fun and deeply transformative way.

The Location

We’ll meet for 3 days in Victoria BC, Canada in the quiet residential neighbourhood of James Bay.
Our movement room has a bright, airy spacious feel with wooden floors, a circular design and high ceilings. There are bathrooms, a small kitchen and resting seating areas on location. Nestled in one of Victoria’s older neighbourhoods, where the trees will be turning colour and the crisp ocean air is only steps away you can discover hotels, restaurants and ocean a 5 minute walk (see FAQ for a detailed guide). Havn Sauna is a 20 minute stroll along the inner harbour so there’s no need to rent a car if you’re coming from out of town.

  • The Power Of Us is a self-discovery movement retreat to nourish burnout and reconnect you with your inner compass. Most of us are caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, operating on autopilot and often neglecting the silent voice inside that’s most wise. This retreat reconnects you with your essence and shows you how to authentically be present with others.

  • We work with unique theatre exercises, partner activities, nervous system regulating practices, individual attention from the facilitator, movement with music to help you discover ways to connect with your authentic self. While my approach is flexible to meet you where you are, the process is structured to provide a strong and supportive container.

  • Once you’ve registered for the Retreat you can expect to receive a welcome email from Luana within 7 business days.

  • Generally speaking, it is a spiritually oriented and relational retreat and Luana also uses several therapy approaches and skills which she’s developed over the years.

  • Yes, you can attend the weekend with partners, family members or friends, we just ask that you inform Luana during the online registration process.

  • No, all genders are welcome.
    All participants must be over the age of 18 years old.

  • No, in fact this group is ideal for those who are interested in exploring personal growth work but are new to doing so in a group/relational setting. At the same time the group also has something to offer for those who do have experience in group work and are looking for a deep dive into themselves.

    Luana also highly recommends completing her Nervous System Regulation Made Simple Program or attending a personal session before the retreat start date. When participants have a foundational understanding of their nervous system, it supports the group’s ability to go deeper during the weekend. Because of the nature of the partner activities and touch, individuals who have completed this recommendation tend to have the capacity to process things with more ease if things do come up during the retreat process.

  • The process is 100% confidential. A commitment to confidentiality is taken by all participants at the beginning of the process. This allows participants to be contained in completely confidential surroundings to share their deep feelings and intimate aspects of their history if they choose to do so.

  • Light snacks are provided, please pack a lunch, there is a fridge and small kithen on site or several restaurants a short walking distance away.

  • Out of Town Recommendations:

    I’ve designed this in city retreat to be walkable for all participants wishing to travel from out of town and bypass renting a car for the weekend.
    The retreat will take place at 111 Superior Street Friday through Sunday. On Sunday morning we will meet at Havn Sauna’s at 920 Wharf Street and participants are encouraged to walk along the seawall back to 111 Superior Street after lunch. Luana will email you a more detailed itinerary for the whole weekend closer to the date, for now I hope this list helps you navigate your stay with more ease.

    Airport Details:
    Victoria International Airport (YYJ):
    Located about 25 km north of downtown Victoria.

    Transportation to Downtown Victoria:
    Taxi Approximately 30-minute drive to downtown Victoria; fare is around $60-$70 CAD.


    Airport Shuttle:
    The YYJ Airport Shuttle provides regular service to downtown hotels; one-way fare is approximately $25 CAD.

    Harbour Air:
    Flights are available from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria, also from YVR airport. A great option if you’re coming from the mainland and prefer to bypass ferries and go car-less for the weekend.

    Transportation within Victoria

    BC Transit Buses: Regular bus service throughout downtown Victoria. Bus routes #70 and #72 connect the airport to downtown.

    Uber/Taxi: Easily available throughout the city for convenient travel.

  • All fitness levels are welcome. The guided and exploratory movement portion of the weekend is adaptable to each individuals fitness level.
    On Sunday morning we will be going to the Havn Sauna's as a a group. If sauna's are not for you, there are pools, tubs and comfy lounging areas for your enjoyment.

Meet Luana Rose 

I’m Luana, nervous system expert and relationship educator, in my many years of teaching people how to transform trauma and create a life they’re excited to wake up for, I keep coming back to the transformational power of group healing.

To date my online programs and workshops have reached 2000+ people in over 40 countries worldwide. I practice and have extensively trained in the work of Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Stephen Terrell, Dr. Kathy Kain and Terry Real.

I’m a first generation Canadian with ancestors from Brazil and Algeria. I’m a pragmatic free spirit, nature cherisher, dog mom and self-proclaimed dessert chef.
I’m fortunate to (newly) live, work and play on the original lands of the Lekwungen Peoples where I spend my time away from work walking barefoot on the beach and hiking new trails with friends. I created this retreat because I’m inspired and forever in awe of the healing power of being seen in an authentic and supported way.
