Self-Regulation Explained.

Self-regulation is our ability to self organize our physiological states, emotions, behaviours, thoughts and ultimately stressors in life. Ideally this self-regulation leads to positive results -- optimal health, caring relationships and success in life.

Self-regulation underlies everything we do in life. Self-regulation is our ability to self-organize the fight, flight, freeze, fawn response. One of my favourite teachers, Gabor Mate says, 'When we are well self-regulated people are the most capable of interacting fruitfully with others in community and of nurturing children who will also grow into self-regulated adults. Anything that interferes with that natural agenda threatens the organism's chances for long-term survival.' In his book When the Body Says No. Thank you for watching the video to learn more and be sure to stick around and watch the other videos on my channel.
