Most of us grew up with this idea that big girls and boys don't cry. When we fall we have to get up as quickly as possible, don't cry, don't be a sissy and keep going. This teaches. us as kids and adults that it's not okay to feel what you feel when you feel it.
The result is we get numb and disconnected from our bodies because we were taught to override real emotions and sensations. The problem is when we do this we get stuck in a threat response and all of these 3 things are likely to happen:

1. We won't be alert to our surroundings because our physiology is preoccupied in a threat response so we'll likely fall or trip or have the accident again - sooner than later.

2. We won't heal as fast as we could because we are stuck in a stress response and this takes a lot of energy and resource from our body's normal functioning.

3. We may pass this mentality onto future generations, our nieces and nephews teaching them it's not okay to feel what they feel when they feel it. Watch the video to find our more! If you'd like to dive deeper and take a self-study course and work with me 1:1 go to luanarose.com to learn more.

Much love, peace and blessings 💖 Luana
