Anger is an essential, real, valid emotion. It's part of our FIGHT, flight and freeze/fawn response. When you think of sayings like 'that really makes my blood boil!' or 'it makes my skin crawl' these are both expression that come from a somatic, visceral sense of our fight protective response. Healthy aggression is the physicalized protective response.

It doesn't mean being violent or harmful to self or other -- it's the life force that flows through us part of the autonomic nervous systems biological wiring to respond to threat through FIGHT, flight or freeze.
