What is the Window of Tolerance? How Accumulated Stress Causes Mental Illness.

In this video I break down the how the Window of Tolerance works. We know that most health problems are a result of accumulated stress but how does stress accumulate in an individuals life and how does it manifest in the body as symptoms? Back in 1999 Dr. Daniel Siegel, a clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and executive director of the Mindsight Institute developed the Window of Tolerence which has changed the way we look at the brain, body, attachment and relationships.
The video is in 3 parts:
PART 1: introducing the true self and the survival self (child/baby like parts of us) PART 2: How the window of tolerance works (from an autonomic nervous system lense)
PART 3: Coping mechanisms, symptoms and chronic illness Do you see how expanding an individuals window of tolerance yields optimal health?

Watch to find out.
